Accessibility
How the website has been designed to support keyboard, screen-reader, zoom and reduced-motion use.
Accessibility approach
Em Curri Art aims to make the website usable by as many people as reasonably possible. The current build uses semantic headings and labels, visible keyboard focus, a skip-to-content link, keyboard-operable navigation, keyboard-operable artwork controls, labelled form controls, descriptive alternative text for portfolio images, reduced-motion support and responsive layouts.
Keyboard use
Navigation links, buttons, form fields, the reference-image chooser and artwork lightbox controls are intended to be usable without a mouse. Focus is visibly indicated. The mobile menu can be closed with Escape and keyboard focus is contained while it is open.
Colour and text
The main text colours used on the cream backgrounds have been checked for strong contrast. Decorative light rules are not relied on to communicate text. The layout supports browser zoom and responsive reflow.
Images
Meaningful artwork and photographs include alternative text. Decorative imagery may use empty alternative text so it is ignored by screen readers. The reference-image preview is identified as a preview rather than treated as website content.
Known limitations
This is a small independently operated website and has not yet undergone an external professional WCAG audit. Very detailed visual artwork cannot be fully conveyed by short alternative text. If you need information in another format or encounter an accessibility barrier, contact em.curri.art@gmail.com.
